  History

  The central club of MIA of Russia, which situated on the Big Lubyanka Street – is the creative and methodical center, organizer of a culture and social work within MIA employment. The first historical record of building of a B. Lubyanka Street is from the beginning of XVI century, when merchants of Nowgorod came into Moscow and settled and opened a “Lubyanoy trading” beyond borders of China-town. They offered to citizens to buy things of the wooden bark from them – one of the oldest traditional businesses. The street, where the used to live, was called: “Big Lubyanka”.

 All buildings in the city were wooden. Later, they belonged to prince’s kindred’s: Pojarskie, Galicini, Volkonskie. After the fire in 1812, building, which miraculously saved, was taken by the count Rastopchin. And later, in the end of XIX century – to Trindini – is the merchant’s family. In the 1881, the merchant E. Trindin built the first stone house, where he opened a shop on the first floor, profitable house and museum in quarters of today’s center.

 Since 1918, the Culture center used to be a center of meeting and culture events for AEC organization. Quarters had been taken for employers of OGPU-AEC and in museum’s rooms were created a sort of a club, where politic and social education were happening, here on meetings Lenin and Dzerjinsky were in.

 С In 1993 quarters were taken for the work with children and the base of Dzerjinsky of OGPU/NKVD was created. Since 1934 – is the club of NKVD, since 1949 till 1960 – is the “Gosplan” – committee’s of ministries club.

 By the order of Soviet’s Ministry of USSR, from the 14-th January of 1966 (PP-521), the government’s committee of Soviet’s Ministry of USSR (the department of material and techniques matters) gave the club to the MOOP RSFSR, which situated by the address: Djerjinskogo st., 13 (B. Lubyanka in the past) with equipment and staff. At the 1-th of February of 1966, by the order of MOOP RSFSR №54, this club renamed as “The central club of the ministry of a social law’s guarding”. In the December of that year – is the MOOP USSR. In the 1968 year – The central club of MIA USSR.

  In 1974, the central club of MIA USSR renamed as the central employer’s house of MIA USSR.

 In 1985 – is renamed as the central club of MIA USSR. Since 1993 – center of Culture of MIA Russia, Nowadays – is the central club of the ministry of internal affairs of Russia.

 In 1995, by the permission and decision of the MIA RF, the creative merging between the collective of center of culture of MIA RF and Government’s song and dance state ensemble of internal forces of the ministry of internal affairs were happened.
